Jessica first found yoga while studying Creative Writing at the University of Maine at Farmington. Under the stress of constant deadlines, multiple jobs and social priorities, yoga provided a base of support and an endless well of energy. In fact, she discovered the only reason she could accomplish so much with success was because of her yoga practice. With this discovery, she began to passionately share her practice and new knowledge with anyone and everyone, making yoga and teaching yoga a large part of her life. After a car accident resulting in a back injury, Jessica found herself in life-altering pain. Yoga again came to the rescue. Through a vigorous and consistent practice (along with physical therapy, massage and other treatments), Jessica was able to return to an almost pain-free lifestyle. Through this experience, awareness of her own body, needs and the healing power of yoga surfaced again and again. She studied and earned her certification in Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Stephanie Keach at the Asheville Yoga Center in Asheville, North Carolina. After a recent move to Rolla from Freeport, Maine with her husband, Tanner, she teaches Basic, Vigorous and YogaLates classes at andFLEW! Movement Studios.
